Growing with Passion
Building the Dream
With minimal financial resources but boundless passion: Sara's husband André Böhmer transformed an empty space into a salon in just 2 months. Every wall, every floor, every detail, crafted with heart and skilled hands. A glimpse into the making of our dream.

Sara Böhmer opened cHAARakter no.23 with a vision: A salon where every guest feels truly welcome. Starting with just 4 styling stations and a big dream.

Growing Demand
Just 3 months after opening, the demand was so high that we had to hire our first team member. The cHAARakter family began to grow!

After just one year, we were already a team of four! The concept was working, guests loved the personal atmosphere, and we needed every helping hand.

The Big Expansion
André was creative once again, with the support of friends and Sara. In just 2 months, the salon was completely expanded and rebuilt, merging the old shop with the newly rented adjacent space into one. The demolition alone weighed over 8 tons! Only a small piece of the old ceiling remains today.
Hair services continued during construction with the help of a temporary studio, supported by MobilConcept Dresden. On September 1st, 2019, we moved into the newly renovated space. The planning was exciting, there were no existing floor plans, which was the reason to tear everything down and rebuild from scratch.
There were many hurdles and new problems. The concept had to be changed 4 times due to unexpected surprises. But our goal was achieved! Even though it hurt to destroy the old salon, because it too was created with heart and our own hands. The new design is also entirely our own creation, from 60m² to 130m²!
